Ian has more than 20 years’ experience in the Trustee industry as well as a background in running small businesses for many years. He, therefore, understands the everyday problems his clients face and has both the skills and knowledge to help them achieve their goals.
Focused on a holistic approach to estate planning, Ian enjoys helping clients put plans in place that will meet their long-term goals. He particularly enjoys seeing the sense of satisfaction individuals have when they know their plan will meet their needs.
With over 16 years of experience at Perpetual Guardian, Yunus brings a wealth of experience to his leadership role in the Northern Region.
His key focus is to ensure his team of 31 across six branches in the region delivery efficient and superior service to all clients.
This means creating enduring relationships with clients to provide long-term prosperity and peace of mind. Yunus is proud to influence growth and change in the business, positioning Perpetual Guardian as an expert in the trustee industry across his region.
Yunus holds a Diploma in Business Studies.
Tammy has ten years of experience in the trustee industry in various roles. She loves the opportunity to establish relationships which enable her to best advise people in the most precious areas of their lives, along with the variety of work that the industry offers.
She attained her BA degree in 1995 and her LLB degree 1997 and was admitted to practise in 1999. After immigrating to New Zealand, she re-qualified and was enrolled as a barrister and solicitor in 2011.
Prior to joining the trustee industry, she practised as a solicitor overseas for eight years, specialising in the area of litigation.
Tammy has gained experience in providing quality advice on asset protection, Trust management and estate administration.
She specialises in advising on the management of complex and diverse asset protection structures, which provide enduring solutions for her clients. Tammy takes immense pride in proactively engaging with clients, understanding their goals and expectations and working tirelessly to facilitate these.
Outside of work she is a busy mum and also long-standing volunteer for the Red Cross Meals on Wheels delivery service.
Rotorua and Tauranga
With more than 20 years of experience at Perpetual Guardian, Jan has extensive knowledge in the areas of estate planning and administration. As Branch Manager, she is responsible for the Tauranga and Rotorua branches.
Jan’s key focus is to ensure that her team members are service-focused and accessible to their clients in order to build enduring relationships.
Jan has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a National Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advice).
Brendan brings over 30 years of trustee industry experience in the area of succession planning.
Preservation of family wealth for the benefit of future generations is his focus, along with ensuring the structures clients put in place remain compliant and continue to achieve their initial intention.
Brendan is always eager to review the provisions clients have made to protect their families and offer options to achieve their goals.
Aaron has a 25-year background in financial services and has held Head of Advice roles with large financial planning firms in NZ. He has also authored two books on financial management and has been a regular media commentator on planning and investment issues.
Aaron has developed and led nationwide advice-based teams and has held primary responsibilities for governance and high net worth client management. He is an experienced presenter on financial issues and has developed the skill set of being able to effectively communicate complex concepts to a wide audience.
Over the last decade, Aaron has increased involvement in the area of iwi financial management and currently sits on the Investment Committee of a major North Island iwi.
Aaron has a commerce degree from Auckland University and an investment management qualification from the US Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Paul has in excess of 25 years in the financial services industry, along with broad commercial experience in business and property throughout the wider Manawatu/Horowhena and Wanganui areas.
Paul’s role includes the management of Trusts, estates and agencies. He is passionate about developing long-term relationships with a high level of understanding to enable the personalising and tailoring of individual solutions to best suit his clients.
Outside of work Paul is a keen sport-watcher, actively follows his 3 daughters’ education, sport and various interests. When time allows, Paul can also be found on the golf course.
Wellington and Nelson
With over twelve years at Perpetual Guardian and twenty in the financial services industry, Graeme brings a wealth of experience leading our Central New Zealand team.
As manager of the 18 strong team Graeme ensures they focus on establishing trusting long-term relationships with our clients to deliver the best results for their financial future and provide long-term prosperity and peace of mind.
With extensive knowledge across the whole service offering which includes Family Trusts, Charitable Trusts and estates, Graeme works closely with the team to develop a consistent high-level of service to our clients.
Graeme has a Legal Executive Certificate, a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Personal Financial Planning) and a National Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advice Level 5).
Christchurch, Ashburton and Timaru
David has over 30 years of experience at Perpetual Guardian and during this time he has held many roles, all of them directly or indirectly related to the provision of advice and service for clients.
David’s focus is to ensure that his Southern Region team deliver a superior service to all clients.
He believes a commitment to professionalism, as well as the development of unique and personal solutions for the needs of our clients should form the foundations of a lasting relationship, and ultimately their financial security and peace of mind.
David is an associate of the Executor and Trustee Institute of Australia.
Irene has 18 years in the Trustee Industry joining Perpetual Guardian from Public Trust in January 2018.
Prior to this she spent 20 years in the banking industry with 13 of those spent at the Bank of Scotland and then 7 years at Countrywide Bank in Dunedin.
She has a strong customer focus and always aims to exceed her clients’ expectations.
Her strengths are building long-term client relationships and providing her clients with the services to achieve their long-term objectives.
She is also on the board of the Otago Welfare Guardianship Trust, a trust set up to provide Welfare Guardians to people who have no family or friends who are able to take on this role.
