A slice of your love for something good
New Zealanders have a new way of supporting those in personal crisis, such as illness, with the launch of the Swathe.me direct support platform.
The charity, developed by Janey and Andrew Carr and operating in partnership with the Perpetual Guardian Foundation, enables friends and family to provide practical support for those dealing with a personal crisis. That support can be financial or hands-on though helping with everyday activities such as preparing a meal, doing the laundry or providing transport to an appointment.
Importantly, Swathe.me also enables those needing help to choose from a list of everyday things they need a helping hand with, and then share the list with supporters when they ask how they can help.
